Hello, I'm Emma
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Toronto, Canada.
Some years ago I moved here with my family. What started as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It All Began
Moving to Canada wasn't in the long-term plans. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt harder than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines formed. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Created QenoNariqMelnRux
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Canada.
What This Site Covers (And Excludes)
This site OFFERS:
- Hands-on experience from living in Canada
- Centers on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site DOES NOT include:
- A tourism authority resource
- sponsored review platform
- a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Emma
